Chaotic Wheel

I've been having too much fun playing with this Java applet of a chaotic waterwheel. I'm a geek; I know it.

Loved It. Loved It. Loved It.

Pardon my cynicism but after seeing Pride and Prejudice, romanticism is dead in the 21st century.

Sunday

Today's weather was perfect; I loved it. I just got back from playing tennis with J and T. It was fabulous. The wind was annoying as was my lack of skill but whatever, I'm improving. UMass has taken down all but 2 of the tennis court nets. Grrrr. There are still some nice days left; it is too early for the nets to be taken down. After tennis I still felt energetic so I ran around the track a couple of times and I wasn't as winded as I thought I would be - awesome. The almost fun moon graced the east sky and the clouds were colored red and pink from the sunset. Running has never been so nice!

I really need to get into a routine. This whole getting dark early thing does not help at all. I've got Thursday's covered now with fencing class but I really need to have a routine for Monday and Wednesday and then I will just do something else on the weekends like tennis. The thing is I would much rather be doing something outside than inside. The thought of going to the UMD fitness center does not thrill me. I think that for as long as the weather stays nice, I need to leave work for an hour at 2 and go running/bike riding/tennis/play basketball for 45 minutes, take a quick shower and head back to work for another 3 or so hours on Mon and Wed. That could work. Theoretically it could work beautifully; and would make me more productive. Let's see realistically how it goes.

As for the rest of my Sunday night, I have it all planned out: shower, followed by some food, and some more homework (law of disorder, proving the central limit theorem, and Brownian motion) followed by movies. I stopped by the video store on my way home and picked up Emma and East of Eden. Ahhh, perfect.

Oh, also, I was very disappointed with SNL last night. It just wasn't funny. I was hoping it would with Jason Lee hosting and all; but it just wasn't. I almost fell asleep.
